The main goal of the Project Recorder was to take a Trace of the strategical Decisions that has made all along the Projecting Phase, and then analyse my Way to Work ... I learned what I don't have to do!
In many Cases the Way to the Results it's quite more interesting as the Result itself.
In the fact, if we see the Construction Process as application of Projecting Rules in a predetermined Contest-Variables
Scenario (Clima, Social, ...) a really important Aspect is the Way to valutate this Contest-Variables.
A Project is a time compressing sociological-emotional process ?
The use of different and new media in Architecture was another theme I wanted to focalise: how much the electronic system and new media are influencing (negatively or positively ?) the way to Work and see the World ? The media-interaction as Result, Dialog between different Point of Vue, is especially interesting in the contest of a ‘Padiglione Svizzero alla Biennale di Venezia’ : building a piece of Switzerland in Italy, in another context, others situation, other ideological background, … for showing Arts.
Representing information in the Space seen in the perspective of the informational and technological revolution of the last years may pose to Architects a lot of questions, for example:
How the representation of information 'Virtual' spaces may bring people to new level of reality perception ?
Is Architecture in an Urban context just the way to organise in different Layers public services and information ?
The ‘Link’ as hypertextual-mediatic concept may be more present in the future Architecture (text on buildings, form as content, screen-facade ) ?
And, may be, create a new Job, the data-architect. What I’m trying to do is just a really modest and small experiment, underline the tension between Real and Information Virtual World; if the perception of Reality and time (it exist ?) is a matter of our sense and the communication canals are the ‘media’, architecture is a media.
A lot can be done to create a better ‘Project Process Recorder’, multi-user with project specific oriented variables and representations. The decision tree may be improved, some algorithms (genetical) can create proposal, profiles may save decision characters, etc…
